“If you renovate it, they will come” must have been the motto for Fort Worth-based Trademark Property Co. used when it started redeveloping Annapolis Town Center.
That’s because ever since renovations began in 2018, the 2 million-sq.-ft. mixed-use property in Annapolis, Md., has signed on 122,000 sq. ft. of leases to new retail, restaurants and fitness tenants.
The mixed-use developer increased the center’s community green space by 50% with the addition of Green Village. This new space offers a new Boat House Pavilion, a performance stage, a seasonal outdoor ice-skating rink, and seating around fire pits.
Another addition is the climate-controlled paseo, connecting visitors to parking and retail areas. Signage has been rebranded throughout the property and public art from various local artists has been installed.
The following tenants are on target to open by the end of 2022 and include:
True Food Kitchen – a healthy-inspired chain restaurant opened in July 2021.
Tuscan Prime – a high-end Italian chophouse and dolce bar opened in January 2022.
Warby Parker – the trendy eyeglass store opened in June 2022.
Life Time – the nation's premier Healthy Way of Life brand is currently under construction.
Williams Sonoma – high-end cookware, kitchen accessories & gourmet goods store is currently under construction.
Pottery Barn – upscale furniture and home store is currently under construction.
Gabby Summer Classics Home – a furniture designer and manufacturer showroom is currently under construction.
Urbano Mexican Fare – a sophisticated environment of Tex-Mex, cocktails and design is currently under construction.
Tempur Sealy – the flagship sleep store opened in February 2019.
Vibe – multi-use concert space offering music, drinks and live music is currently under construction.
These new tenants bring Annapolis Town Center to 52 tenants, joining long-time retailers such as Anthropologie, Restoration Hardware and Paper Source with anchors Whole Foods Market and Target.
